A prospective student learns about admissions requirements at the UIC recruiting forum, 2008.

Students in business doctoral programs come from a variety of backgrounds including economics, math, psychology, sociology, engineering, statistics, among others.  While some students pursue their doctoral studies after gaining substantial work experience, other students begin their program immediately after their undergraduate studies.  Most business doctoral programs are intensive research programs; the emphasis on teaching varies from institution to institution.

We invite you to consider a doctorate in business, and explore the possibilities of business academia.
