Chicago GSB’s doctoral program in business—the first
established in the United States—trains prospective scholars to become highly skilled and innovative researchers. Most
go on to become faculty members at premier academic institutions throughout the world. Students begin active research at an
early stage and work closely with faculty throughout the program. As with most Chicago degree programs, the PhD curriculum
is highly flexible.
