The
primary objective of the Ph.D. program in Business Administration is to prepare men and women for professional careers in
university teaching and research, as well as selected research positions in industry and government. The philosophy underlying
the doctoral program provides each student with an opportunity to specialize and develop professionally through the selection
of primary and support areas of study. Also, the analytical tools and research coursework directly support the important research
methodologies pertinent to the primary and support areas of study selected by each student. In this way, the total doctoral
program of study develops a professional orientation and an expertise within each doctoral candidate.
