Robert H. Smith School of Business - University of Maryland

 

The primary mission of the Ph.D. Program of the Robert H. Smith School of Business at the University of Maryland is to produce individuals who will contribute to the discovery and dissemination of scientific knowledge through continued careers in research, publishing, and teaching at high quality research-oriented universities and research-oriented non-academic institutions throughout the world.

The Robert H. Smith School of Business Ph.D. program is viewed as a key strategic asset of Smith Business School, and includes a group of talented students and internationally known faculty who share a common interest in broadening the frontiers of knowledge. A distinguishing feature of the Smith PhD program is the strong emphasis placed on having students and faculty work on joint research projects. Additionally, the Smith PhD Program offers its doctoral students an unprecedented degree of compensation, resources and benefits, including stipends, travel and research support, and state of the art facilities.
