INSEAD's PhD Program offers a unique education that prepares our students both to be at the forefront of business research and to disseminate cutting edge knowledge to managers and organizations. With a structure similar to that of most American schools (two years of course work followed by two-three years of dissertation research), it offers a uniquely international context. Our current class of 65 PhDs come from 33 different nationalities. Plus, our dual-campus structure in Singapore as well as France, combined with the INSEAD-Wharton Alliance, offer possibilities in the Doctoral program for experiencing, and working with faculty and companies in Asia, North America and Europe. In addition, the program emphasizes multidisciplinary research that dares to cut across the arbitrary boundaries that exist between business disciplines. These disciplines are represented by the specialization fields: Decision Sciences, Finance, Marketing, Organizational Behavior, Strategy, and Technology and Operations Management. INSEAD PhDs are very active in research, in academic journals as well as at conferences in their area of specialty. Our graduates are taking up academic positions in premier universities throughout the world.
